About the Builder - Phil Gressly
Phil Gressly, President of Summerfield Homes and an Atlanta native, has been building homes in the metro area for more than 25 years. By combining years of building, project managing and supervising experience with his business research and development degree, Gressly has become a leader in the new homes construction industry.
One of the most essential parts to Gressly’s building expertise comes from his knowledge of erosion and sediment control, which he brings to all of Summerfield Homes' communities. One of the initial builders to gain the EarthCraft and Energy Star certifications, he was awarded EarthCraft Builder of the Year in 2006 from a pool of more than 300 builders taking part in the program.
Gressly was also named 2005 Builder of the Year by the Builder-Developer Marketing Group (BDMG) of Metro Brokers/GMAC Real Estate. The Builder of the Year award is presented annually to the builder who excels in a variety of categories including construction quality, customer service, timely delivery of product, and job site cleanliness. Gressly was selected from a group of more than 25 metro Atlanta home builders who are clients of Metro Brokers’ BDMG.
In addition, Gressly is currently president of the Cobb County Home Builders Association, state director for the Georgia Home Builders Association, and has been a Certified Professional Home Builder for the Atlanta Home Builders Association since its inception in 1998.
